The monastery square in Mariastein is being renovated. Construction work on the approximately 4,200 square meter square will begin at the beginning of March 2025. It will be traffic-free and designed as a place to meet, stroll and walk to the shrine. The new square is due to be inaugurated at Easter 2026.
