This concert brings together jazz musician and composer Roland Köppel and organist Christoph Kaufmann. Together they develop an experimental dialog between the Hammond Organ B3 and the large Metzler organ of the Mariastein Basilica. Original compositions and improvisations are juxtaposed with solo parts featuring virtuoso jazz classics and magnificent organ works. The special and legendary sound of the Hammond organ blends mysteriously and spherically with the subtle and multi-faceted timbres of the church organ.
