In the Swiss inventory of cultural assets of national and regional importance (KGS), the Mariastein Monastery is classified as an A-object (national importance).
The Monastery’s collections include objects that are particularly worthy of protection and need to be conserved, researched, restored and communicated.
As part of the reorganisation, a collection concept is also to be developed.
