A new beginning – Mariastein 2025

Mariastein 2025 is the name of the overarching project launched by the Benedictine monks of Mariastein Abbey in 2015. Inspired by the biblical promise of “setting out into the wide open” (Psalm 18:20), the project is focused on securing the future of Mariastein.

With this project, the monastic community is embracing a challenging task that will engage various groups from the local community, including the church, political, business, and cultural spheres, as well as all those who are interested in a prosperous future for Mariastein.
