Works by William Byrd, Antonio Vivaldi, Camille Saint-Saëns, Astor Piazzolla, Fats Waller

The Sirius Brass ensemble invites you on a sonorous journey around the world full of varied colors and moods. From the elegant “Earl of Oxford March” from England, the journey continues through Italy with virtuoso baroque music by Antonio Vivaldi to France with the energetic “Bacchanale” by Camille Saint-Saëns. The sensual tango dreams of Astor Piazzolla unfold in Buenos Aires, before American jazz classics such as “Polka Dots and Moonbeams” and “Ain’t Misbehavin'” by Fats Waller create a lively atmosphere. Sirius Brass presents this lively cross-section of different eras and styles with great enthusiasm and musical finesse – for the first time on a warm summer evening on the newly designed monastery square in Mariastein!
